The 'American Idol' judge called his full-time security team in to investigate after he noticed a mysterious motorcyclist - clad in a crash helmet and leathers - kept appearing outside the buildings where his meetings were being held.

After experts swept his £140,000 Bentley Continental, they discovered the tracker magnetically attached to the vehicle's undercarriage.

Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul have expressed their sympathy for Jennifer Hudson.

The 'American Idol' judges - who were on the panel when Jennifer made it into the top 12 of the US TV talent show in 2004 - were "horrified" when they heard the star's mother, brother and nephew had died following a gun attack on Friday (24.10.08).

Simon said: "I was horrified when I heard the news. This is an appalling tragedy. My thoughts right now are with Jennifer, and her family."

Simon Cowell has reportedly split from Terri Seymour.

The 48-year-old music mogul is believed to have walked out on Terri, 34, following a blazing row over Terri's insecurities, and he has now ended their six-year relationship.

A friend of Simon's told Britain's Star magazine: "He told me he is tired of Terri's insecurities. They lead separate lives, and that's how he likes it, but lately she has turned up unannounced at events he is at.

Simon Cowell has bought a £2.3 million mansion for his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour.

Cowell, who recently split from the 33-year-old TV presenter after five years together, has reportedly splashed out on a property for her in Hollywood, California.

A close friend of Simon's said: "It certainly ensured they parted amicably."

While the music mogul is still said to be on friendly terms with Terri, his publicist had denied he bought the house outright for her.

Fearne Cotton - who presented the spin-off to UK TV talent show 'The X Factor', 'The Xtra Factor' - revealed the talent show judge is "jealous" of her gnashers.

She said: "One of the first things Simon said to me was, 'You've got lovely teeth'. He's got a teeth obsession. I've got quite massive front teeth and I think he's quite envious.

"His are hilariously white. They're blinding!"

Simon Cowell contemplated suicide in his teens.

The 'American Idol' judge hated the strict rules in school and couldn't find anything to spark his interest or inspire him.

He confessed: "I was always bored. I didn't like the rules and I didn't like discipline. So when someone said to me, 'These are the best days of your life,' I actually thought about jumping off a bridge. I was like, 'If it gets any worse than this I'm done,' because I hated school and I hated my life."
