Sharon Stone has lost the latest round of the ongoing custody battle over her eldest son.

The 'Basic Instinct' star had requested primary custody of Roan - who currently lives with her ex-husband Phil Bronstein - but a San Francisco judge ruled the eight-year-old should continue living with his father.

The judge stated Bronstein's home was a more stable environment for Roan, reinforcing the 2007 decision that he should have executive sole custody.

Sharon Stone has once again angered animal rights group PETA.

A former co-star of the actress has revealed she once had a tarantula defanged after refusing to film a scene with it.

Ernest Borgnine, who starred with the 'Basic Instinct' actress in horror film 'Deadly Blessing', revealed: "Sharon wanted the spider's pincers removed."

News of the incident - which took place in 1981 - has horrified animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Sharon Stone has been dropped from Christian Dior's Chinese adverts.

The 'Basic Instinct' star - who suggested the devastating natural disaster in the Sichuan province on May 12 was "karma" for their government's treatment of Tibet - will no longer appear in the French fashion house's campaign in the Far East country even though she has now apologised.
