Salma Hayek has ditched traditional Christmas food for her husband.

The 'Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant' actress, who married French businessman Francois-Henry Pinault earlier this year, was shocked to discover her spouse feasts on luxury shellfish rather than turkey over the festive season in December but she has agreed to sample his menu.

Salma Hayek's daughter sees ghosts.

The actress is convinced 16-month-old Valentina has a sixth sense that allows her to communicate with spirits and admits her child's behaviour scared her.

She said on US TV series 'The Rachel Ray Show': "Last night she saw a ghost. I'm convinced. She woke up and her eyes were open. Salma Hayek breast-fed an African baby.

The mother-of-one volunteered to nurse the child on a recent trip to Sierra Leone, when the baby's mother stopped producing milk.

Salma, 42, said: "The baby was perfectly healthy, but the mother didn't have milk. He was very hungry. I was weaning my daughter Valentina, but I still had a lot of milk that I was pumping, so I breast-fed the baby. You should have seen his eyes. When he felt the nourishment, he immediately stopped crying."

Salma Hayek is addicted to breastfeeding.

The 'Frida' actress, who gave birth to daughter Valentina in September 2007, has revealed she can't bring herself to stop breastfeeding.

She said: "I'm like an alcoholic. It is like, I don't care if I cry, I don't care if I am fat, I am just going to do it for one more week, one more month, and then when I see how much good it is doing her and I can't stop. It is a very powerful thing, you know."

Salma Hayek is set to star on hit US TV show '30 Rock'.

The Mexican actress - who previously appeared in 'Ugly Betty' - will appear in the TV network comedy.

An insider said: "Tina Fey, who writes and appears on the show, was so desperate for Salma to appear in it that she called her herself. Salma has now agreed - she will appear in two episodes as a character, not as herself."

Salma Hayek and her fiance have called off their engagement.

The 'Frida' actress and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault - who have a 10-month-old daughter Valentina Paloma together - were reportedly set to marry later this year, but their spokesperson confirms the plans have now been "cancelled".

The representative said: "We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been cancelled. There will be no further comment."
