Nicollette Sheridan is suing the 'Desperate Housewives' creator for $20 million, after alleging assault and wrongful termination.

The 46-year-old actress - who portrayed maneater estate agent Edie Britt in the US show - filed a lawsuit against TV executive Marc Cherry at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday (05.04.10) which claimed she was hit in the face by him in September 2008 and then sacked after she complained.

Nicollette Sheridan's boyfriend has been convicted of receiving stolen horses.

Steven Pate, who recently started dating the former 'Desperate Housewives' star, served six days in jail after he admitted to buying stolen equines which were bred to be ridden by rodeo studs in competition.

The mare and three geldings in question disappeared from their Californian stable in September 2000.

Nicollette Sheridan has offered her 'Desperate Housewives' co-stars $1,000 to find her a man.

The 44-year-old actress - who recently split from fiance Michael Bolton - is so desperate to find love again she is willing to pay her castmates Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross if they agree to set her up on dates.

A source said: "They are all desperately going through their phone books because they all want to win the prize!"
