Madonna is reportedly sick of being a housewife.

The '4 Minutes' singer, who is married to director Guy Ritchie, can't wait to embark on her upcoming tour and focus on dominating the music charts.

A source close to the couple said: "Madonna has tried playing the dutiful wife and mother, but it's just not for her. She has to have 101 things going on in her life to keep her motivated.

Madonna is set to adopt David Banda this week.

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie were previously granted a temporary 18-month custody order for the Malawian boy, but this is expected to be turned into a permanent custody order on Thursday (15.05.08).

The couple's adoption has been held up due to a lack of international adoption laws in Malawi - one of Africa's poorest countries.

The '4 Minutes' singer doesn't believe she would have made the same album if producer Pharrell hadn't worn his unusual footwear.

The pop superstar was playing a private concert to mark the launch of her latest album 'Hard Candy'.

Dressed head-to-toe in black, Madonna said to the crowd of 1,500: "Why do I have this relationship with France? I'm always drawn to working with French people - and Frenching French people.

Madonna has revealed she and Justin Timberlake drank tequila and vodka after her New York show.

The '4 Minutes' singer - who stunned crowds at the free Manhattan concert when she welcomed Justin on stage - revealed she was feeling slightly hung-over after partying on Wednesday night (30.04.08).

Madonna has debuted her new album on MySpace.

The pop superstar's latest LP 'Hard Candy' was made exclusively available on the social networking website yesterday (25.04.08), four days before its official release on Tuesday (29.04.08).

'Hard Candy', which has hip-hop influences, has 12 tracks and features collaborations with Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams.

Madonna is not the first music act to premiere their new material on MySpace.

Madonna's sex drive inspired her new album.

The superstar singer, who releases her latest LP 'Hard Candy' this month, loved teaming up with producer Pharrell Williams to write steamy track 'Candy Shop'.

She said: ''Candy Shop' was the first song I wrote with Pharrell. It is one of my favourites on the record. It personifies the mood I was in while making the record - lots of innuendo. You can get so many things in a candy shop!"
