Lindsay Lohan has allegedly been advised by doctors to fire her mother Dina as her manager.

The 'Machete' actress is currently undergoing a rehab treatment programme at the Betty Ford Clinic in Los Angeles and medics have warned her if Dina continues to focus her energies on her daughter's career rather than being a parent to her, Lindsay will find it harder to beat her drug problems.

Lindsay Lohan has made friends in jail.

The 24-year-old actress - who started her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, last Tuesday (20.07.10) - has gotten close to some other inmates after settling in.

Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley told UsMagazine.com: "She is doing fine. She has made some friends."

Lindsay Lohan was cheered by inmates as she started her jail sentence yesterday (20.07.10).

The troubled actress arrived at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California at around 10am in tears, to chants of "We love you, Lindsay" as the prison was shut down for an hour for her arrival.

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been banned from a club for throwing a glass at Samantha Ronson.

The 23-year-old actress was asked to leave the Trousdale club in Los Angeles following the incident with her ex-girlfriend, which left the DJ "really shaken up" on Friday night (23.04.10).

Lindsay Lohan is to be sued by a photographer who was allegedly hit by her car.

The unnamed paparazzo was hurt as the vehicle carrying Lindsay accelerated away from Hollywood bar the Hotel Cafe. The 23-year-old actress was not driving.

Although the man did not go to hospital, he claimed he was "lucky to be alive" after the incident.
