Jennifer Hudson named her dogs after her awards.

The 'Dreamgirls' star christened her pooches in honour of the trophies she has won as both an actress and singer.

She explained: "The boy's called Oscar and the girl is Grammy - and I called their puppies after other awards I won like Golden Globe, Sag, and another is called Bafta."

Despite her success, Jennifer - who appeared on US TV talent show 'American Idol' - admits she is amazed at how well she has done.

Jennifer Hudson says her new song is about her relationship insecurities.

The singer-and-actress, who is releasing 'Spotlight' as the first single from her new album, revealed the lyrics were inspired by her love life.

Jennifer, who has been dating James Payton since 1999, told US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight': "It definitely tells a story of me and my life. What I sing really happens to me."

'Spotlight' was written and co-produced by Ne-Yo.
