Coldplay's sensible tour
December 18 2008, 8:00 am
Coldplay do not "deflower virgins" while on tour.
The clean-living band insist their backstage antics are limited to changing their clothes and they never take advantage of groupies like a lot of rockers.
Guitarist Johnny Buckland said: "There's sort of a whole heap of things that we do before the show.
"Obviously we get changed, we do a bit of singing, play the guitar and just sort of relax for a bit before. But we don't deflower any virgins or anything like that."

Posting on the band's website, Chris wrote: "I would open for Take That. We were in the dressing room the other day and, for whatever reason, we started singing 'Back For Good'.
"We sang the whole thing, word for word, with all the right chords on ...

Q kings Coldplay
Coldplay were the big winners at this year's Q Awards.
The 'Yellow' hitmakers picked up two accolades at this afternoon's (06.10.08) ceremony, taking home the Best Album prize for 'Viva La Vida, Or Death And All His Friends'.
They also beat off stiff competition from Oasis, Muse, veteran heavy metal band Metallica and US stars Kings of Leon to be named the Best Act in the World Today.
Upon collecting their statuette, an apologetic Chris Martin said: "I don't think we're t ...

Chris Martin's anti-bully album
Chris Martin thinks Coldplay's new album can stop bullying.
The musician has tried to make the band's upcoming LP, 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends', "cool" so teenagers won't be afraid to admit they like their music.
He told Britain's BBC Radio 1: "When making this record we were incredibly hungry to prove why people have heard of us and I also wanted it to be OK for a 16-year-old to say they like Coldplay in the playground.
"Hopefully, with this record, they ...

Coldplay buy bakery
Coldplay have bought an old bakery.
The band think the "ugly" building, in London's Primrose Hill, is the perfect place for their new headquarters away from fans and paparazzi.
Singer Chris Martin explained: "For years I used to walk past this building everyday and think, 'What an ugly place.'
"Then one day a 'to let' sign appeared outside. I thought, 'Hmmm that place is so ugly, I bet no one would bother us if we move in there.' "
It will be the band's first 'hom ...
