Amy Winehouse was nearly an hour late on stage at a UK music festival because she refused to get her feet wet.

The 24-year-old singer arrived 45 minutes late for her performance at Bestival on Saturday (06.09.08) - held on the Isle of Wight - because she didn't want to walk on the soaked grass.

Amy Winehouse is set to check into a rehab centre near to the prison where her husband is currently being held.

The troubled singer has reportedly been told to seek help following a shambolic performance at the V festival last weekend.

Amy Winehouse has been invited to join a group of singing monks.

The 72-strong Cistercian Monks Of Stift Heiligenkreuz - who recently scored a number one album of Gregorian chants in their native Austria and have made the top 10 in the UK album charts - believe they could help the 'Back To Black' singer overcome her troubles.

The monks are signed to the same record label as Amy, 24, and were given a copy of her 'Back To Black' album by a label worker.

Amy Winehouse's father has denied she took a deliberate drugs overdose.

The 'Rehab' singer was rushed to London's University College Hospital on Monday (28.07.08) after she suffered convulsions, and Mitch claims she fell ill after taking a double dose of prescription medication.

He said: "Amy did not take a deliberate drug overdose. She is on medication to wean her off hard drugs and she took the wrong amount. She took two doses instead of one by mistake.

Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital last night (28.07.08) after collapsing from a suspected drug overdose.

Paramedics spent 40 minutes at her London home after she suffered convulsions, while police were also in attendance to clear waiting paparazzi.

Amy was then carried out on a stretcher, covered with a blanket and wearing an oxygen mask.

Her father Mitch accompanied her and tried to play down the incident, claiming: "She's fine, she just mixed up her medication."

Amy Winehouse's husband wants her to leave London.

Blake Fielder-Civil - who was sentenced to 27 months in jail last week for grievous bodily harm (GBH) and perverting the course of justice - believes the only way he and the troubled singer can quit drugs for good is to move away from the temptations that currently surround them.
