Billie Piper's Winston son

Laurence Fox is feeling "fantastic" after wife Billie Piper gave birth to their son Winston James Fox on Monday (20.10.08).

The actor - who drove 26-year-old Billie to London's Portland Hospital for the birth - is finding it hard to control his joy after welcoming his first child into the world.

Speaking outside the hospital, Laurence, 29, said: "I feel fantastic!"

He is believed to have told friends: "You have no idea what's going on but it's amazing!"

After the birth, which is reported to have been a caesarean section, Laurence - who refused to reveal the baby's name, telling waiting well-wishers it was a "private moment" - celebrated with friends at the nearby Green Man pub where he showed off pictures of the new baby on his cell phone.

Billie's ex-husband Chris Evans - who revealed the couple's choice of name on his blog - arrived at the hospital with wife Natasha Shishmanian yesterday (21.10.08) bearing a gift for Winston.

Chris, whose divorce from Billie was finalised last year, wrote on his blog: "At the time of this writing, the little fella is not even fifteen hours old. He is cute as you like and didn't cry once for the few minutes I was there which was just a few moments ago."
