Jade Goody's year of chemo

Jade Goody has reportedly been told she will have to undergo a year of intensive chemotherapy because her cervical cancer has spread.

The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant - who has a five-year-old son Bobby and three-year-old son Freddie with former partner Jeff Brazier - was hoping she would only have to have the traumatic procedure for six to nine weeks after having a hysterectomy earlier this month, but is now struggling to cope with the devastating news.

A source close to Jade, who is said to have been given a 50 per cent chance of survival, told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "This is not her worst nightmare - that would be dying and leaving her children. But it comes pretty close. She had hoped that she would not lose all her hair.

But now she has been told that she will definitely lose it all because the chemo will be much stronger. She's really, really upset.

"Jade is really worried that she will feel so ill and weak that she won't be able to look after the boys or do anything."

After being diagnosed with cancer in August, 27-year-old Jade was reported as saying: "I have no control over this disease and I am bl***y terrified. I am going to fight the damn thing every step of the way because I have two beautiful boys who are my world."
