Nicole Scherzinger's acting plan

Nicole Scherzinger wants to be an actress.

The Pussycat Dolls singer would love to land a movie role which would show off her acting talents, but insists her priority is still her music career.

She said: "I have done a few things in the past, a couple of movies, but I'd definitely like to do more. I want to be taken seriously a bit more and look for roles that challenge me as an actress. I don't want to do cameos and stuff like that. I won't ever give up music though, I adore singing."

Despite her plans to move into acting, Nicole recently admitted she finds being famous hard work.

The 30-yeard-old star insists fans don't realise just how much effort goes into being a pop star.

Nicole, who is currently dating British Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton, said: "It's not as glamourous as people think. It has its ups and downs. There can be a lot of intrusion into your private life."
