Madonna late for Guy

Madonna arrived at husband Guy Ritchie's world premiere an hour late.

The 'Give It 2 Me' singer kept the director waiting at the London launch of 'RocknRolla' last night (01.09.08) before a black car dropped her off at the event just minutes before the film was due to start.

Guy met Madonna - who took time out from her 'Sticky and Sweet' world tour to support her husband - at the vehicle before the couple walked down the red carpet hand-in-hand.

The director - who plans to make two sequels to the film - insisted he wasn't surprised by his spouse's poor punctuality.

He said: "She told me she was half an hour away. She better had be otherwise I am going to be really embarrassed.

"Whatever happens she'll be late. Take her time and double it."

The 39-year-old also revealed how difficult it is for him to maintain his relationship with the 50-year-old singer.

He added: "It's hard because there is a big ocean in the way sometimes, but we try to do our best."

The couple recently dismissed rumours they are planning a divorce, but neither star was wearing their wedding ring last night.
