Alex Reid 'peaceful' like Jesus

Alex Reid thinks he's just like Jesus.

The 34-year-old hunk - the husband of Katie Price - believes he is a "peaceful" person with many similarities to the Christian messiah and claims he only took up cage-fighting because of his insecurities.

Speaking at the launch of his new TV show, 'Alex Reid: The Fight of His Life', he said: "I am a peaceful man but I guess I am an insecure person, why else would I learn how to fight?

"I don't want to fight, I want to make love. Seriously it's like Gandhi or Jesus."

Alex wed Katie in February after flying to Las Vegas for an intimate ceremony in front of close friends.

Since then, the pair have spoken out several times about their determination to start a family as soon as possible.

Discussing their plans to extend their brood, Alex joked his sperm have "special powers".

When asked whether or not Katie is currently pregnant, he quipped: "Maybe."

The muscular sportsman has also revealed he bans himself from having sex in the run up to a contest.

He told Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine: "Before a big fight I have to abstain from sex, and in the morning is definitely when I feel randiest! Training is the best substitute when you're missing out as it releases endorphins. It's like meditation for me."
