John Mayer no ladies man

John Mayer doesn't see himself as a ladies man.

Despite his womanising reputation, the 32-year-old singer - who has dated a host of Hollywood beauties including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz - claims he finds dating difficult.

He said: "I'd make dates on Monday for Friday and come Thursday, I'd be so wracked with nerves. Or I would try to do it and get so sick to my stomach that we'd circle the block and then I'd come home."

Although he attracts a lot of female attention Mayer insists he doesn't sleep with his fans.

He said: "When I was younger I could do it. Now it doesn't interest me. I would see it as getting high on my own supply."

Mayer, 32, also claims he is too uptight to enjoy his fame, success and heartthrob status.

He said: "It would be great to be John Mayer if only I lightened up.

"I would like to enjoy the ride a little more because I feel like the china shop and my career is the bull."
