6 Celebrities Better Off Dead

We would certainly never wish anyone dead, but admittedly there are times when you’re certain that artists are better off dead than they were alive. This could be for any reason. Some never truly achieved true fame and fortune until after their death. Others lived a life of fear and trauma and are finally at peace. Whatever the reason, these stars are certainly better off dead.

Anna Nicole Smith

Poor Anna. We’re not sure that she had a truly happy day in her life. The money-grabber grew up dirt poor in Texas only to pull herself from poverty with her stunning good looks. One baby and two giant breasts later she was married to a billionaire who promptly died leaving Anna in the midst of a court battle for the money. Flakey is an understatement when it comes to this character who enjoyed her own reality show, surely destroyed her liver with pharmaceuticals, had a baby girl three days before her son committed suicide and then finally died herself a few months later – a victim of  sorrow and too many drugs.

Christopher Reeve

Thrown from his horse, Christopher Reeve was paralyzed from the neck down and survived barely thanks to amazing medical intervention. He went on to spend years as a true hero speaking out about spinal cord injuries and bring attention to the cause. He was truly a pioneer and a blessing to the human race. Christopher Reeve died from an infection surprising his family and fans. Less than a year later, his loving wife, the woman responsible for keeping him alive her with affection, was diagnosed with lung cancer. After bravely battling the disease, she died only 18 months after Reeve.

Michael Jackson

While living, he was considered rather odd. But in death, he’s a famous beacon of light. It is only in his death that we remember how powerful his music is and how many bridges he crossed to bring more equalized opportunities to the musical culture. While there are still those who focus on the harder parts of his life, Michael went out in a weakened state, but will be remembered forever strong.

John Belushi

A partier to the end, John Belushi had a wild night on his last day on earth. He partied in Hollywood and then partied with close friends Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro after hours. Finally, when the evening was winding down, Belushi asked Cathy Evelyn Smith to help him with a combination of heroin and cocaine called a High Ball. She thought he was sleeping and left only to find Belushi curled up naked in bed – dead of an accidental overdose. The wild man drove himself into the grave, unfortunately before he ever had time to live a life free of chemicals.

Kurt Cobain

A happy childhood dissolved after his parents were divorced and Kurt was moved around from relative to relative. He became quiet and reclusive and eventually suicidal. The depressed and antisocial Cobain abused drugs and was admitted once to the hospital in a coma brought on by either drug use or an attempted suicide. He was found in 1994 cradling the shotgun that had been fired into his head ending the traumatic and unhappy life.

Elvis Presley

A true legend, Elvis lived high and was falling from grace when was found dead in the bathroom. The rock and roll star changed the way we see music, but had become a parody of his early glory days by the time of his death. The star had lost his happy marriage, lost contact with his beloved child and was reliant on chemicals to both wake up and to sleep every day. Finally a hard lifestyle caught up to him and he died in a most unglorious way, cementing him forever as a true star and global icon.
