6 Celebrities We Would Hang Out With

There are celebrities who are wild and those that just seem laid back. As we are not the wild coke-snorting type, it is this more leisurely crowd that appeals to us. Give us a man with a fantasy football team and a chick not afraid to hang out with a beer and we’re in heaven. If these folks happen to be celebrities, even better. Here are a few celebrities we wouldn’t mind hanging out with on a lazy Saturday night.

Matthew McConaughey

Cool Texas accent aside, the guy has been caught jamming out naked on his bongos getting high in Austin, one of the indie music capitals of the world. He’s laid back, he does decent movies and he’d be a good guy to have our on team in a game of flag football. Maybe he’d even treat us to a concert – with his clothes on.

Jewel and Ty Murray

Okay, so they are a couple, but still we’ll count them as a single entity. Jewel seemed so obscure and out there musically until she made the switch to country music and started hanging out with the bull riding champion of the world. Ty Murray even strutted his stuff on Dancing With the Stars a season or two ago and made us all want to have a beer with the guy. His wife is from Alaska and can handle guy jokes on live television. We love them both.

Sandra Bullock

Another Texan, Sandra Bullock married Jesse James. If that’s not cool enough, she was a cheerleader in high school, was voted “Most Likely to Brighten Up Your Day” and has a home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Austin, Texas. Her favorite drinks? Heineken and tequila. She’s our kind of girl. 

Ben Affleck

A man who never let stardom get to his head, Ben Affleck allegedly lost Jennifer Lopez because he wasn’t metro enough. That’s perfectly alright with us. We much prefer the sloppy Ben that hung out with star-buddy Matt Damon. The two played Little League together. Says Ben, “I feel like fame is wasted on me.” We’d drink to that, but the man is a recovering alcoholic, so we’ll just have a few pretzels instead.

Mike Rowe

The star, if you can call him that, of Dirty Jobs and countless Discovery Channel Voice-overs is a pure guy’s guy. He is hilarious to listen to and through the numerous out-takes on his show you can tell just how laid back the guy is. He might not be a well-known celebrity, but he’s definitely one we’d hang out with – even it were to just hear the stories of all of his adventures. Castrating goats by mouth anyone?

Julia Roberts

Something about that million dollar smile makes us think of blue jeans and a few margaritas. You can’t go wrong with a woman who sings Prince in the bathtub, has twins and a toddler and once married Lyle Lovett. We love her just for that, in fact.
