Katie Price tells kids about Pete split

Katie Price has finally told her children she has split from Peter Andre.

The glamour model - who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii, with the 'Behind Closed Doors' singer - made the heartbreaking decision to explain their parents are no longer together after previously shielding them from the truth.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "She sat them down and told them that her and daddy still loved each other but they would no longer be living together.

"She was really kind and gentle with them. It broke her heart having to tell them."

Katie, who is now dating cage fighter Alex Reid, also insists she is a good mother and only goes out when it's Peter's turn to look after the kids.

She said: "I am trying so hard to help keep the routine of the children going through this period to ensure they are not affected in any way. I hear people say I am a bad mother as I never spend time with the children. I spend plenty of time with them, just not in public.

"When Pete has the children he does what he wishes to do with them and I keep myself busy with work, seeing friends and having breaks overseas. I have to keep myself busy otherwise I will go nuts."

Since the split in May, Katie - also known as Jordan - has spent a wild week in Ibiza and openly frolicked with Alex during a trip to Spain.
