Matthew McConaughey's Careless first kiss

Matthew McConaughey spent his first kiss thinking about George Michael.

The 'Ghost of Girlfriends Past' star - who has a 10-month-old son Levi with Brazilian model Camila Alves - revealed his luck with the ladies was aided by the British singer's classic love song.

He is quoted as saying: "I had my first kiss at this dance. I was buzzing for weeks after that because I pulled it off and went for it. It was to Wham! - George Michael singing 'Careless Whisper'. Romantic! I have to thank him for a lot!"

Matthew hasn't always been such a confident lover.

The 39-year-old actor recently revealed he had no idea about the female anatomy and was completely hopeless when he was intimate with a girl for the first time.

He said: "From checking out Playboy I always thought - we still don't have a better word for it than Vagina, do we? I thought it was behind the public hair, and it was faced horizontal. You know, east/west, not south. So the first time I got to third base, man, I was hunting for a long time. I was real spooked about hunting around, so it took about an hour to find."
