Katy Perry to get Queen tattoo

Katy Perry wants a tattoo of Freddie Mercury's face.

The 'I Kissed a Girl' singer wants to pay homage to the late Queen frontman by getting a giant design of his head inked on her back.

She said: "I nearly got a huge tattoo of Freddie Mercury's face on my back a few years ago. It's probably for the best that I didn't get it done, but I still want to do it."

The 24-year-old singer has previously named the eccentric star as her musical idol because of his flamboyant personality.

She explained: "Freddie Mercury was - and remains - my biggest influence. The combination of his sarcastic approach to writing lyrics and his 'I don't give a f**k' attitude really inspired my music."

It seems the beauty applies Freddie's mantra to all aspects of her life.

Katy has also confessed she has an embarrassing wind problem and constantly expels gas.

She laughed during an interview on video sharing website MySpace: "I fart a lot. I'm hopping around and I'm a little gassy. I've had so many embarrassing moments but I don't care."
