Lady GaGa is in trouble with police over her skimpy outfits.

The 'Just Dance' singer - who is famous for her outrageous and revealing ensembles - keeps getting stopped by officers who believe her flesh-flashing clothes could offend members of the public.

The blonde beauty was recently stopped in Chicago while she was wearing a pair of tiny hotpants.

She explained: "I guess they weren't really pants at all. But it was really funny because you all you saw was this half-naked girl on the street yelling at some cop, 'It's fashion! I'm an artist!' It was fun."

The pop star - who used to work as a burlesque dancer - likes to show off her body because it makes her feel sexier.

She said: "It's not that I don't like pants, I just choose not to wear them some days. I think no pants is sexy. I love the naked human body. I was working in strip clubs when I was 18."

The 22-year-old recently admitted she finds writing music a very sexual experience.

She explained: "Writing a record is like dating a few men at once. You take them to the same restaurants to see if they measure up, and at some point you decide who you like best. "When you make music or write or create, it's really your job to have mind-blowing, irresponsible, condomless sex with whatever idea it is you're writing about at the time."
