The 'Marley and Me' hunk believes he could last two months without sleeping with his wife - model Rebecca Gayheart - but hopes she never suggests it.
He said: "If my wife said I had to go 60 days without sex? I think I could do it. But I don't think she'd ever make me."
The 36-year-old - whose 'Grey's Anatomy' character once abstained from sex to prove his love - said his own wedding five years ago was a less-romantic affair where they eloped to Las Vegas.
He explained: "It was quick. We decided we were going to get married over dinner, so we drove to the airport, flew to Vegas and got hitched! We'd been together nine months at the time. Love at first sight is different when you're 32 than when you're 22. In your early 20s you fall in love after three weeks. We'd both been in long relationships before, so we kind of walked a little slower."
