Simon Cowell uses special make-up to appear flawless on TV.

The music mogul - who recently split from his long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour - reportedly insists his make-up artist uses cosmetics which hide his imperfections on high definition TV.

A source said: "Simon always likes to look his best and with high definition making the picture even more crystal clear, it's no wonder he wants to make sure all his imperfections are covered up."

Simon, 49, discovered the new cosmetic range while filming a series of 'American Idol'. Since his return to the UK, his stylist has been using the same products when he appears on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The star is currently travelling around Britain with fellow judges Piers Morgan, 43, and Amanda Holden, 37, looking for talent for the new series.
