Nicola Roberts' tour love

Nicola Roberts loves touring.

The Girls Aloud star loves being on the road because it gives the group a structured schedule to follow.

She said: "It's one of the few times we've got a proper routine. Usually, every day's different - we're doing a photoshoot or a TV appearance and your timings are all over the place.

"When we're on tour, we get up at around midday, because we get to bed really late, then we're on the tour bus for 1pm, we arrive at the venue - then somehow manage to spend the next eight hours getting ready."

Nicola also says that the girls have to work harder to stay healthy when they are performing across the country.

She added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "When you're touring you have to be aware that you're working really hard and you're mentally exhausted from concentrating on all the routines and it's so easy to get run down and pick up bugs.

"We try to eat more healthily, drink lots of water and take supplements."

Girls Aloud are currently in the middle of their sell-out 'Tangled Up' tour - their fourth in the six years they have been together.
