Rachel Stevens' drunken test

Rachel Stevens took her driving test drunk.

The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star steadied her nerves with some drinks before taking the gruelling examination when she was just 17 but her plan backfired and she crashed into a stationary car and left her examiner terrified.

Former S Club 7 singer Rachel confessed to Alan Carr during filming of 'The Sunday Night Project' on Thursday night (08.01.09): "I was driving along and it was all going fine until I crashed into a stationary car!"

When asked how she managed to smash her vehicle, an embarrassed Rachel said: "I can't believe I'm saying this but I was p***ed!"

Her shock admission left some of the audience in fits of giggles, while others gasped in astonishment.

One stunned member told BANG Showbiz: "Even Alan couldn't believe it when she said she was drunk during her driving test. She is supposed to be a role model for children. It is an inappropriate thing to be talking about."
