Madonna's housewife blues

Madonna is reportedly sick of being a housewife.

The '4 Minutes' singer, who is married to director Guy Ritchie, can't wait to embark on her upcoming tour and focus on dominating the music charts.

A source close to the couple said: "Madonna has tried playing the dutiful wife and mother, but it's just not for her. She has to have 101 things going on in her life to keep her motivated.

"She'll never stop until she is recognised as the world's biggest star again rather than a stay-at-home housewife."

Despite rumours Madonna and Guy's relationship has hit a rocky patch, the couple are believed to get on better when they are living apart.

The source added: "With Madonna on tour, she and Guy will be leading separate lives yet again, which means they get on so much better. When they are only speaking every few days and not seeing each other, the marriage runs a lot smoother."
