Eva Mendes' Liam lust

Eva Mendes thinks Liam Gallagher is one of the "sexiest men alive".

The actress has a huge crush on the Oasis frontman and admits one of the best moments of her life was meeting the Manchester rocker – who is married to former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton – backstage after at a concert in Los Angeles.

Eva - who is dating producer George Gargurevich – gushed: "Liam is definitely one of the sexiest men alive. I love Oasis, but I also love The Stone Roses and The Smiths. I've always had a strong affinity to Manchester."

'The Spirit' star always has a great time when she visits Liam's hometown and is convinced she enjoys Manchester's wet and miserable weather because it is so different to sun-drenched Los Angeles where she grew up.

Eva, 34, added: "For me, Manchester is the coolest city I can think of. Having been there a few times, I've got a lot of friends in the city, I absolutely love the place.

"I was raised on sunshine and beaches. Whenever I go to Manchester it's pouring with rain and the skies are grey. But I can't get enough of it. Whenever I listen to a Smiths record and I hear Morrissey's voice I wish I was in Manchester."
