Mel B's supportive love

Mel B says her relationship with Stephen Belafonte blossomed during her "worst times".

The former Spice Girl began dating the film producer when she was pregnant with daughter Angel Iris - who her former boyfriend Eddie Murphy denied being the father of, resulting in a paternity battle - and revealed his "amazing" support helped her cope.

Mel, who secretly married Stephen last June, said: "He saw me through the worst times when I was screaming and shouting how much I hated men. He was amazing. He listened to me, he took my mother out for meals. Most men think of me as tough, but he saw me at my most vulnerable."

As well as 11-month-old Angel Iris, Mel has another daughter, Phoenix Chi, nine, from her failed marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Stephen has a four-year-old daughter, Giselle.
